One Dozen - Organic Eggs - (Egg Size Varies)

At Melody Acres, our chickens are cherished pets.  We love, care for and name each one.  Our girls are fed with certified organic feed and free range as they please.  We only keep a small number of chickens, so we sell extra eggs as they become available.  We never push our chickens to lay all year round. We believe nature knows best, so this may mean we don't always have enough supply to meet demand.  
 
We know what is important to you when looking for ethical eggs, because it's the same beliefs that are important to our family. We are totally transparent in everything we do and you are welcome to ask questions and come visit our birds anytime.
 
Our Eggs are sold unwashed as per PA state regulations for small farms. It’s quick and easy to rinse your egg under water before using and you can also use dish soap if you’d like. Unwashed eggs are clean and blemish free just like store bought washed eggs, but have the natural "bloom" barrier still intact. Unwashed eggs will last at least two weeks unrefrigerated and three months or more in the refrigerator. Washed eggs must be refrigerated and will last at least two months in the refrigerator but won't taste as fresh as unwashed eggs of the same age.
 
Our eggs are also sold as "unclassified."  This means your eggs may be different weights and sizes which is completely normal for a small farm production. We always give our customers the best and biggest eggs and save the little ones for ourselves.
 
Our hens are healthy, happy, organically fed, free ranged, and totally spoiled!  You will notice the difference right away, from our healthier harder shells to the beautiful orange yolks.  Thank you for trusting our family to grow for your family!
